The MDSC is again working with Schuss Mt. / Shanty Creek to bring you greatly discounted midweek, 1 day ski trips. The current schedule includes one trip each month, January through March. The trip is open to anyone - adults and children, MDSC and non-MDSC members, Nordic or Alpine skiers and snowboarders.

The 2000 dates are Monday January 10th, Wednesday February 16th, and Thursday March 3rd.

THE TRIP COST is as LOW as $42 (40 or more people on the bus) ... basically, you're paying for your bus fare and everything else is FREE. Your cost includes:

- Round trip luxury bus transportation on Blue Lakes, departing 13 Mile & Woodward in Royal Oak;  clubs in outlying areas and other parts of the state can arrange for alternate pickup points if enough people in the area participate on the trip;

- Superlift Ticket good for both Schuss & Shanty, and cross country trails too;

- Group changing and storage area for your equipment and bags;

- Crowd pleaser entertainment and complementary snacks at 4 p.m.;

- use of the swimming pool between 5 & 6 p.m.;

- tip for the bus driver;

Children and non-skiers will receive an even further reduced price.

You need to call the MDSC Travel Chairperson, Norbert Kopeikin, at (734) 421-1485 to make reservations AT LEAST 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE, but you can call him now and make sure you get a seat!
