INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS OCTOBER 29, 2005

It's just too scary! … The old-time movie at the Redford Theatre will be "INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS" starring Kevin McCarthy, Dana Wynter, and Carolyn Jones in this original version from 1956. Kevin McCarthy, as a small-town doctor in California, discovers his patients, family and friends are being taken over by pods from outer space that replicate and replace humans. Coming from the B-movie science fiction boom of the 1950's, this film has emerged as a cinema classic. It's based upon the novel by Jack Finney.

Two additional films will be included for the Halloween special: "HAUNTED SPOOKS" with Harold Lloyd and "THE HAUNTED HOUSE" starring Buster Keaton. These silent films will be accompanied with the Barton Theatre Pipe Organ. This will be an evening that even Alice Cooper would enjoy.

So, join us Saturday, Oct. 29th at the Redford, 17360 Lahser Rd., Detroit, just a few doors north of Grand River. Lighted and supervised parking is adjacent to the theatre.
