ANNUAL BLACK & WHITE PARTY

On Saturday, October 27th, many "hauntingly" ventured out for our Annual Black & White Party at the American Legion in Berkley. The "Pirates" band returned to play a night full of exhilarating music for all to enjoy. The dancing and singing became a part of us and there was so much talent to see!

The "doo-wap" girls deserve a special round of applause along with the duo of Dr. Marcus Welby and Nurse Consuela. Thank you "Pirates". We all appreciate you celebrating with us and it was so much fun!

The costume judging went as follows:

1st Place Angel/Devil (Good/Evil)

2nd Place The Captain & his Wench

3rd Place Renaissance Peasant Couple

Costumes were fairly abundant and many strutted their stuff. A Special Thanks goes to our Judges: Ed & Diane Lowe and Bruno & Kathy Ragan.

The Lucky First Place winner received a pair of Fisher X-Country Skis valued @ $280, donated by the Benchmark in Farmington. This winner was Marlene McLaughlin with a well thought costume of being ˝ angel and ˝ devil. This was split vertically down her body which was very tastefully done. It nicely demonstrated the good & evil in all of us.

The Second Place winner received Ski Tunes from Don Thomas Ski Haus in Bloomfield Hills. This was Donald and Marty Moore from Clarkston. They were the fancy dressed pirate and his lovely whiney wench. I think she did use his whip once as he tried to poke out her eye!

The Third Place winner also received Ski Tunes from Bavarian Village/Boyne Country Sports in Bloomfield Hills. Jeff & Christine Rollins from Troy were the Renaissance Peasant Couple. No one could tell who had a better time—they both danced circles around us all. I think I saw Jeff give her a flower for her performance.

There were door prizes awarded to those present including a Workout session from a local spa and Shields Pizza.

Bill and I would like to thanks everyone who came out and celebrated at this annual bash. It was truly a joy to be part of such a great group.
