Our “Breakfast Club” starts at 10:00 a.m. at Anton’s Island Grill, Big Beaver Rd. (16 Mile Rd.) and Dequindre, NW corner. Phone: 248-619-0016. Just show up, and we’ll make room for you. No RSVP needed.

Metro Beach Boats & Dancing - GMSC Members dock their boats for the day. Spend the day at the metro beach marina hanging around the boats and having a picnic, followed by dancing under the stars. Contact Michael Bourke. 586 776-7685.

Hot Air Ballooning -

Meeting time will be right at sunrise around 6:00 a.m.

Participants will receive a call the night before to advise likelihood of flight and the morning of to advise to proceed to the meeting place if weather forecast is still good.

Meeting place will always be the Milford Road Park and Ride off of I-96, exit 155.

Maximum 24.  Reservations a must. Payment Must to be made to GMSC in advance of scheduling persons for flight.

Please note, in order do arrange needed pilots, advance notice any payment are a must.  There will be no way to accomodate last minute walk on's.

Once this event is sold out, a wait list will be taken.  If a paid participant needs to cancel, if their spot can be sold, a refund will be awarded.

Attire: Cotton, jeans or cotton pants, good comfortable walking or hiking boots/shoes, hat as flame is above your head as the days get warmer in the summer a hat protects your head from the heat. The usual outdoor stuff...sunscreen, bug repellent and of course cameras for awesome pictures. BYOB for after the flight. No smoking around the balloon.

If this event needs to be cancelled, you will be given the choice of an alternate date or a full refund.  Possible reasons for cancellations are:

Not enough people.  This event is based on 6 people to make it worthwhile.

Stratford Weekend -

Our trip includes two nights lodging at a Bed & Breakfast, tickets for the Saturday 2:00 PM performance of William Shakespeare's The Tempest.  This is a drive-up weekend.  Car-pooling is advised.  Check-in time is 3:00 pm Friday, 7/30.  Double occupancy, Breakfast each morning, Dinner on your own (reservations recommended).

Price for members is $255 and non-members is $265.

GM Ski Club Picnic

Saturday, August 14th, 2010
Stoney Creek Metro Park
Noon til dusk

We will BBQ Angus beef burgers, chicken, sausage and Portabella mushroom burgers.  Enjoy sides of coleslaw, potato salad and corn on the cob.  Beer, pop and water provided.  We will have the club volleyball net set up, along with croquette.

Bring your bike, rollerblades, frisbee, etc.  There is sure to be someone who would be up for a game or two.  Rain or shine doesn't matter - we have a pavilion.  Maps to location will be available at the August meeting.

If your payment reaches us prior to August 9, the member price is $12, non-member price is $17.

If your payment reaches our hands after August 9, the price is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.

There will be no sales the day of the picnic!  If you are not on the list of attendees, you will be turned away.  Sorry.  So making a reservation is a good idea, don't you think?

Photo Rally - The party game on wheels.  It's a scavenger hunt with digital cameras. 

You will have some hilarious memories from this event! Teams of 3-6 people will be given photo options for picture taking and turn in pictures to earn the most points possible. This will be a night you won’t forget.  Each team is responsible for its own camera.
